Intellectual Genocide

BBC has been and continues to commit Intellectual genocide since Yusuf Garad has become the editor of the BBC Somali Section.

Past Sunday on February 29, 2004 Mr. Yusuf Garad held a panel of discussion among the failed generation that led Somalia and have greatly contributed into its condition. The two most senior couple Mr. Abdirisaq Haji Hussien and Mr. Siilaanyo who have held high positions in Somali, but both failed miserably to understand their responsibility to lead and unite their people for better future.

Even though, they could not agree on anything during their tenure, they both shared only one thing called Identity Crises. One must wonder, while they embraced each other during the discussion Mr. Abdirisaq Hussien went on endorsing Mr. Siilaanyo for Somali President wow! That @#%$ the most sarcastic thing I ever heard in my lifetime. I hope they would have acted this manner when they had the chance. Now it is too late, it is up to Somali people who they will elect for their leader.

When did we begin to reward some one who committed an act of treason? Especially when Mr. Siilaanyo supports the destruction of Somali-land unity over the recognition of Issaq-Land. Mr. Abdirisaq Hussien owes an apology to Somali people for his remarks of endorsing criminals such as Siilaanyo and Mr.Yusuf Garads uncle the TNG leader.

Mr.Yussuf Garad we know that you are young and politically Inept. Our advice to you is to listen to your heart, do not listen to your mind. Because minds are subject to be persuaded, be sensitive to the thousand of families that @#%$ killed during Siad Bare regime or tell us if you have been a staff member of the Radio Mogadishu during Siad Bare regime. Certainly, you are having difficulties to differentiate between radio Mogadishu and BBC Somali section.

We have never seen Mr. Garad open a discussion or invited to the BBC Somali section to those who suffered from human right abuses during the Siad Bare regime. They deserve to be heard their voices, the same way that you allowed Mr. Mohamed Ali Samantar, and your uncle TNG leader. This action taken by the BBC Somali section to invite certain groups only. It is no less then committing intellectual genocide. Especially those who have cause us pain and suffering to millions of Somali people, In-addition to the destruction of our future, let as not forget our history.

Bye Now!
